PCR Lab Technician

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PCR Lab Technicianto join our molecular diagnostics team in West Hartford. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in biology and hands-on experience with PCR techniques. You will be responsible for preparing samples, running PCR assays, and supporting research and diagnostic workflows.

Key Responsibilities

+ Conduct routine and specializedPCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)testing

+ Prepare and manage biological samples and reagents

+ Operate and maintain laboratory equipment

+ Record and analyze test results with accuracy

+ Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards

+ Collaborate with team members on research and diagnostic projects

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree inBiology,Biochemistry, or a related field

+ Experience with PCR techniques (academic, internship, or professional)

+ Familiarity with DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and lab protocols

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience

+ qPCR or RT-PCR experience

+ Prior work in a clinical or research lab setting

+ Knowledge of LIMS or other lab data systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
