    Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform routine maintenance and repair work on machinery, equipment, systems, buildings, and facilities. Your role is crucial in maintaining production efficiency and reducing downtime.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform mechanical preventative maintenance on all equipment according to schedule.

    + Inspect machinery, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair to keep production running.

    + Effectively troubleshoot all mechanical equipment, taking corrective action, and repairing, replacing, or rebuilding as necessary.

    + Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and sketches, making all measurements and calculations necessary to complete the job.

    + Complete work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, and maintain records of time distribution and material usage.

    + Perform clerical duties as necessary to maintain proper records.

    Essential Skills

    + Troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and maintenance repair skills.

    + Experience with preventive maintenance and mechanical maintenance.

    + Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

    + Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and power transmission.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum 2-3 years (B Mechanic) or 5+ years (A Mechanic) of industrial maintenance experience.

    + Ability to perform maintenance on industrial machinery, ovens, and mobile equipment.

    + Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission.

    + Prefer some fabrication experience and ability to use a mill and lathe.

    + Welding skills are a plus.

    + Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

    + Experience with machine safety, guarding, hot work, and lockout/tagout procedures.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a manufacturing setting that is not climate controlled and can be hot or humid. Surfaces may be wet, dusty, and uneven, with high noise levels, vibrations, and fumes. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, ear protection, eye protection, gloves, and head protection is required in certain areas.
