Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program with a strong focus on planning, scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance. You will monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment, and initiate reordering when necessary. Your role will also involve maintaining the cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop equipment, making recommendations to improve plant operations, and solving maintenance-related problems. Additionally, you will supervise plant maintenance personnel and monitor the operation of plant equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

+ Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.

+ Coordinate activities with the Maintenance Manager.

+ Coordinate maintenance and repair work in all areas with the production manager.

+ Notify the Plant Manager and quality manager of any deviations from procedures or specifications.

+ Communicate regularly with maintenance associates, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of maintenance technician experience.

+ Experience with both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

+ Experience working up to 480V's and utilizing a volt meter.

+ Possession of own tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ PLC experience.

+ Welding/Fabricating skills.

+ Experience in the food industry.

+ Liquids mixing/filling experience.

Work Environment

Candidates will be working on the production floor alongside other technicians, machine operators, and laborers. The facility is clean and organized. Openings are available on the 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am), with training on the 1st shift (5:30am-2pm). Candidates must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays/weekends when needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of Manteno, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
