    Test Technician

     

    Build, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electromechanical assemblies, per applicable documentation and quality workmanship standards.

    Job Summary

    + Perform engineering tests to collect and evaluate product data.

    + Support troubleshooting of assembly and schematic issues; recommend design changes.

    + Validate accuracy and sequencing of technical test procedures.

    + Provide technical support to customers and resolve product issues.

    + Prepare technical reports documenting test procedures and results.

    + Conduct tests according to established procedures and record results.

    + Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions at component and subassembly levels.

    + Solder components to PCB assemblies and wire complex prototypes.

    + Assemble electronic and electromechanical devices using technical drawings and specifications.

    + Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hazardous waste handling requirements.

    + Maintain accurate records and documentation.

    + Perform other tasks and assignments as needed to support engineering and production teams.

    Required Skills and Education

    + HS Diploma or GED.

    + 3 years in manufacturing setting with knowledge products.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Ability to operate electronic test equipment specifically including oscilloscopes, function generators, and digital volt meters'

    + Ability to read and interpret wiring drawings and schematic diagrams.

    + Ability to read and interpret engineering assembly drawings.

    + Ability to read and understand production drawings.

    + Basic soldering skills.

    + Ability to build electronic assemblies.

    + Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members.

     

    Preferred Skills and Education

     

    + Associates degree in electronics technology preferred.

    + 2 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.

    + J-STD-001or other Electronic certifications.
