    Job Overview

     

    Primary Purpose: To support the manufacturing operations, including determining the most cost-effective method of manufacturing components with existing equipment/facilities as well as proposing new methods/equipment.

     

    A Day In The Life

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Ensure safe operation of all equipment and processes.

    + Trouble-shoot and resolve manufacturing process issues.

    + Prepare justification documentation for capital expenditures.

    + Lead / Assist in tool design and manufacturing process development.

    + Develop and implement cost saving projects. Participate in Lean events that drive productivity and cost improvement.

    + Lead quality improvement activities including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

    + Work closely with product engineering in product changes/new product introductions.

    + Investigate and implement safety and ergonomic changes in the manufacturing setting.

    + Provide technical support/training to direct labor employees.

     

    What will help you thrive in this role?

    Position Requirements:

    + Ability to travel on business related trips as needed.

    + Good communication skills, both written and oral.

    + Computing literacy with MS Office applications. SAP experience is a plus.

    + CAD - Inventor preferred.

    + Experience in tool design, tool build and modeling.

    Education and Skills Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.

    + Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment minimum.

    + Previous CNC/Plasma experience is a strong plus.
