A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

As a Strategic Buyer you will focus on tactical

execution of procurement strategies set forth by corporate commodity management

and based on commodity strategy! You will focus on internal customers and

partners who can’t be successful without your contribution, timeliness and

transparency. You will work in a highly motivated team with a can-do attitude,

helping and supporting each other. You will tackle short-term daily issues,

creating huge value for our factories and customers, and parallel you will work

with the global commodity management teams to develop and implement long

lasting improvement and development projects. You will become an expert of

tactical execution, expediting, and supply chain performance management!

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

+ Strongcollaboration with global and local commodity management and themanufacturing facilities to achieve the most efficiency in planning,alignment and execution of procurement activities

+ Selectsupplier based on agreed guidelines (qualification status, Long TermAgreement status, commodity strategy, supplier performance etc.) anddevelop supplier/sourcing strategies (to include identifying andqualifying new vendors) for outsourced production processes @ Charlottelocation

+ Continuouslysupervise own procurement list, build and update purchase orders, followup on execution such as order confirmation, progress, compliance withquality requirements

+ Supportand ensure compliance with transportation and customs requirements inclose collaboration with Logistics team

+ Leadcontract management related functions for own commodities (claimmanagement, terms and conditions clarifications, contract negotiations)

+ Continuousimprovement of own supplier base and procurement related processes andtheir execution.

What You Bring (requirements)

+ Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent experience in the field of business administration,supply management, engineering or comparable

+ Youhave several years of professional experience in purchasing

+ Yourstrengths are communication and team skills, negotiations, flexibleworking methods and assertiveness

+ Youhave a secure handling of SAP (“Buy” module) and the common MS Officeapplications

+ Planningand organizational skills, a pragmatic, solution-minded approach and ahands-on mentality complete your profile

+ Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the United States withoutneed for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. SiemensEnergy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible forinternal transfers.

About the Team

The combustion procurement team supports our manufacturing

sites in Berlin, Charlotte and Budapest. You’ll be part of an agile &

global team focusing on security of supply, supplier performance, supply chain

resilience as well as cost out in accordance with our combustion commodity

strategy

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power

generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power

generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.

Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and

digitalization of the fleet.
