Position classification
Hybrid -- Job duties and expectations allow for onsite and remote work scheduled every week. Employees in this classification are regularly scheduled onsite one (1) to four (4) days per week based on the County needs and as determined by Department Director. Hybrid classified roles can be onsite more than the set minimum based on employee preference.

What Success Looks Like In This Job
The Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Coordinator/Administrator – Homelessness is suited for an accomplished, enthusiastic, passionate, collaborative, and resilient professional who wants to support and/or lead homelessness reduction programs, projects, and committees. The Coordinator/Administrator will operate in a project lead capacity and will leverage multi-disciplinary resources to maximize execution. The Coordinator/Administrator will need to understand the landscape of poverty and homelessness in the North Denver Metro Area, including disproportionately affected populations, to maintain programs that work, improve programs that are underperforming, and establish new programs to fill gaps in services.
This position is approximately 25% grant writing and reporting; 25% direct and indirect program administration; 20% processing invoices and managing agreements; 20% facilitating meetings; and 10% communications and stakeholder engagement. This is a mid- or senior-level position, depending on the level of experience of the applicant.

Hiring Range = $64,229.13 - $82,993.03
Coordinator Full Range = $64,229.13 - $93,132.230
Administrator Full Range= $72,167.850- $104,643.38
Examples of Duties for Success
CSWB Coordinator
+ Build and Maintain Community Partnerships:Develop relationships with community stakeholders, facilitate large forums and committees, and represent the department on relevant boards and workgroups.
+ Lead and Coordinate Programs, Projects, and Initiatives:Oversee project planning and execution, manage timelines and deliverables, and ensure alignment with departmental objectives.
+ Collect Data and Track Progress:Uphold a mentality of continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Data & Evaluation Team to collect and interpret data, maintain databases, evaluate program performance, and recommend program or project improvement.
+ Grant Writing & Reporting:Balance developing multiple persuasive and polished applications and/or proposals to obtain resources for homelessness reduction while continuously reporting narratives and financial information to funders to convey our progress and outcomes.
+ Interdisciplinary Coordination:Collaborate with internal teams, including Neighborhood Services and Community Corrections, to align and implement strategic community engagement and outreach efforts.
+ Conduct Research and Policy Analysis:Research best practices, new policies, and legislation to assess their relevance and applicability, integrating findings into program improvements and service delivery enhancements.
+ Develop Reports, Newsletters, and Public Documents:Prepare and write ordinances, policy papers, formal reports, newsletters, strategic frameworks, and other public-facing materials.
+ Support Strategic Operations:Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, communications, and outreach efforts that advance the Poverty Reduction Unit’s mission and increase community impact. The Coordinator/Administrator will also vet invoices to ensure timely payment to vendors.
+ Represent the Department Externally:Prepare public documents and reports, represent the department on community boards and committees, and perform other related duties as needed.

CSWB Administrator
In addition to the examples of duties for success listed above, the Administrator will have additional responsibilities:
+ Servant Leadership & Supervision: Provide supportive, trauma-informed supervision to a small team of employees, helping them lead high-quality programs and initiatives that, ultimately, serve the unhoused community. The Administrator will need to pay special attention to fostering a positive work culture and team-oriented workforce.
+ Present Information to Elected Officials: Present to the Board of County Commissioners and/or city councils to provide accurate information about the landscape of homelessness, the Poverty Reduction Unit’s efforts, as well as make strategic recommendations when appropriate. Knowledge of political dynamics and tailored communications will be crucial for success.
+ Communication with Internal Departments: Communicate clearly with the County Manager’s Office, County Attorney’s Office, and Budget & Finance Department to manage the public relations, risk, and compliance associated with highly visible, complex homelessness reduction efforts.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:
