Position Overview

REACH Academy Charter School is seeking a full-time Building Substitute Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This individual will play a vital role in maintaining instructional continuity by covering multiple short-term leave positions across Grades K-8. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with scholars of various ages and academic levels.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide high-quality instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

+ Follow lesson plans and classroom routines as outlined by grade-level teachers.

+ Support the academic and social-emotional development of students.

+ Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and school leadership.

+ Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment.

+ Participate in school-wide professional development and staff meetings as needed.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree required; NYS Teaching Certification preferred.

+ Prior classroom or substitute teaching experience strongly preferred.

+ Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.

+ We have a very competitive salary scale that pays the same or higher than most local districts. Our starting salary for a building substitute is $40,000
