    MRI Technician - Radiology (F.T DAY SHIFTS)

     

    Northwest Florida Community Hospital (NFCH), in Chipley, FL, is seeking a fulltime experienced, energetic and dedicated MRI Technician to provide exceptional care for our patients in support with medical Providers and staff, in our Radiology Department.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

    • Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.

    • Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.

    • Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.

    • Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.

    • Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.

    • Monitoring MRI equipment functions.

    • Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.

    • Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images. Pro tects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media; and administering first aid and using the emergency cart.

    • Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures, developing radiographs, observing radiographic results, and making necessary adjustments.

    • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    • Supports and promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values; adheres to all hospital policies and procedures; commits to the Standards of Conduct; maintains professional appearance.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    MRI Technician Requirements:

    • An Associate's degree in MRI or radiology technology.

    • Experience with MRI equipment and patient care would be advantageous.

    • A license and certification to work as an MRI technician.

    • Attention to detail, mathematical skills, and technical skills.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
