Chart your course in geospatial innovation! Foth is currently seeking a **Survey Technician Intern** to join our Geospatial Services team in **Cedar Rapids, IA** for **Summer 2026** . This internship offers a hands-on learning experience where you’ll conduct traditional survey activities and assist with cutting-edge geospatial technologies. You will gain practical skills and exposure to real-world projects that shape infrastructure and communities.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Assist with traditional survey activities that include utilizing a digital level to set high accuracy elevations on project control and benchmarks
+ Support operations using traditional land surveying tools (GPS/Total Stations) to complete topographic mapping surveys
+ Aid construction staking efforts essential to accurate construction operations
+ Provide field support for 3D scanning and sUAS(Drone) operations
+ Perform data extraction support associated with drone and mobile LIDAR scanning technology
Required Qualifications:
+ Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field at an accredited technical college or university
