    *How you’ll contribute:*

    A*Monitor Tech*who excels in this role:

    • Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.

    • Reads telemetry test strips and places them in the patient charts at required intervals.

    • Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.

    • Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.

    • Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.

    Applicants should have a high school diploma. Additional requirements include:

     

    * Rhythm Interpretation Class required within 30 days of hire

    * Basic Life Support certification is required within 60 days of hire
