Job Summary and Qualifications

+ Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.

+ Maintains competence in documentation.

+ Answer and receive patient report from EMS on radio (not allowed to give or take orders over radio) and receive EMS hand off reports at facility.

+ Utilize SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) for communication.

+ Support and represent the facility’s Core Values while performing the role

+ Attend meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy.

+ 12 Lead EKG, insert IVs/Ios, discontinue IVs, obtain clean catch urine samples, and perform CPR/ACLS.

+ Splint application, wound cleaning, apply traction, and oxygen application per order, Accucheck and other point of care testing, oral and endotracheal suctioning, administer approved medications via approved routes, and suture set up and assistance.

+ Input and output documentation, documents in medical record, EHR documentation of care, and documents in eMar & BCMA.

+ Stock, check equipment, clean stretchers and rooms, and transport patients.

What you will need:

+ High School Diploma or GED Coursework at Technical School/College ​​Required​

+ Technical School Diploma or Certificate in: Paramedic Required

+ 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
