Plant WF | Utility Relief II | Part Time 1pm-7pm

Position Overview

Job Description:Responsible for assisting reinspect with normal reinspect duties. Assist Operator in monitoring carpet for any defects before and after dyeing. Essential Duties:(Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility).• Fill in when someone is out or on break• Drive a Lift Truck in the Sew-On and Roll Up Area• Assist with starting rolls on either reinspect floor• Operate roll-up• Wrap rolls• Make sure both edges of carpet are balanced • Cut dye headers on natural carpets • Assist in primary backing change and check for correct pic and width • Record all roll numbers on work order• Assist with minor repairs.• Update Production Logs• Continuously monitor the dyeing process• Help Operator perform start-up duties when needed.• Ensure that all pumps are working properly during run • Monitor the Web guide to ensure that the carpet is in the correct position to be dyed properly• Follow procedures as outlined in SQS manual. • Clean filters and clean lint bags• Monitor carpet for any streaks or other off quality issues.• Keep work order clean Non-Essential Duties: (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility)• General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or plant management.Education and Experience Requirements: • Previous Lift Truck Operating experience• High school diploma or GED preferred• Previous carpet experience, preferredOther Requirements:• Must be able to work well under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines. • Must be able to comply with all plant policies.• Must be able to perform tasks quickly and safely.• Must be able to attend work regularly and be present at the designated times of scheduling• Must be able to adhere to the normal work scheduleEquipment and Tools: • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Safety & Security Requirements:• Always wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for a task.• Always be cautious of lift trucks traveling throughout the plants.• Immediately report any and all quality, safety, or mechanical issues to the supervisor on duty. • Hair must be worn above collar length.• Keep all loose articles away from machinery.• Practice general housekeeping and keep work areas clean.• Always use proper lifting techniques.• Report any injuries to your supervisor or nurse immediately.• Observe all plant policies including but not limited to cutting policy, speed limit policy, and tobacco use polic
