    Job Overview

     

    Specialized Recruiting Group of Dubuque looking for a skilled **Welding Inspector** ! In this role, you’ll inspect and test welded joints, ensure quality standards are met, and perform welding duties when needed. This is a hands-on position where attention to detail and commitment to safety are key.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Inspect and test welds for defects, strength, penetration, and conformance to specs/blueprints.

    + Perform weld testing, stress testing, and first article inspections.

    + Ensure cleaning, prepping, and painting meet quality standards.

    + Support and mentor welders, ensuring adherence to proper techniques and procedures.

    + Maintain and apply welding certifications (AWS, CWB, etc.).

    + Record inspection data and communicate findings with leadership.

    + Operate welding equipment and hand/power tools as needed.

    + Promote a safe, clean, and team-oriented work environment.

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Current welding certifications: AWS D1.1, CWB S-Class, AWS-TKY, CWB Supervisor W47.1.

    + Strong knowledge of welding principles, inspection processes, and blueprint reading.

    + Experience with inspection tools and welding equipment.

    + Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and a true team player.

    + Ability to maintain high-quality standards under time constraints.
