    Are you ready to accelerate your career with one of the most iconic names in the tire industry? Goodyear is looking for a detail-oriented and driven individual to join our Tire Engineer and help us steer our operations to success.

     

    Primary Purpose of the Position

    We are seeking a Tire Engineer responsible for planning and executing the Plant Tire Release Process:

    + Coordinate/Plan assigned development workload

    + Troubleshoot product/process opportunities

    + Maintain established process documentation/evidence - Lead new product industrialization (NPI) audit requirements

    + Support the manufacturing process and product quality by applying appropriate Goodyear standards/procedures to solve problems

    + Seek solutions to technical problems, conducts work on assigned tasks and exhibiting curiosity and a desire to

    + Utilize/Apply an understanding of customer requirements (internal/external) that are relevant to multiple process areas

    + Understand/Influence customers from various functions, without direct authority

    + Lead the application of technical solutions to meet product/process requirements

    + Network with other technical experts to improve processes and solve problems

    + Audit the use of current technologies/standards in performing assigned tasks and support innovative methods/technologies

    + Troubleshoot problems and develop solutions with appropriate tools/methods that deliver defined objectives which meet business needs

     

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities

    PLAN AND EXECUTE THE TIRE RELEASE PROCESS:

    + Coordinate/Plan assigned development workload. Work independently and collaborate with team members using appropriate levels of technology for application, avoiding inappropriate levels of risk. Engage cross-departmental processes as needed. Ensure transfer of projects/functions to production environment. Seek advice and assistance from team and senior resources.

    PROBLEM SOLVING:

    + Identify problems proactively, taking ownership of all aspects of assigned projects from industrialization through production. Use collaboration to solve problems and make decisions including risk assessment backed by collected data/inputs. Consult with resources. Make decisions based on facts. Consider alternatives and rule out unlikely outcomes. Seek and consult SME's on novel processes.

    QUALITY ASSURANCE:

    + Use known tools/standards for project execution. Execute, develop, and advise necessary steps and activities for project execution. Deliver to project objectives. Advise on lessons learned. Develop/Use creative approaches to execute projects. Anticipate conflicts and develop contingency plans.

     

    Required Education & Experience

    Education

    + Bachelors degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math. Due to legal requirements Latin America candidates must possess Engineering Degree

    Experience

    + 0 + years of experience.

    + Demonstrated ability to apply systematic problem-solving tools and techniques

    + Demonstrated ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment and process problems

    Preferred

    + Data Analysis experience.

    + Experience or certifications in the application of Quality control systems, problem solving and project management tools.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and build effective working relationships both within the plant and with external partners.

    + Ability to work with computer systems, email, Microsoft Office products, HRIS systems & internet.

    + Ability to develop, coordinate & implement projects of varying scope.

    + Excellent communication & presentation skills.
