Job Overview
This role leads the strategic workforce planning function for Fairview, ensuring the organization has the right talent, in the right place, at the right time. Responsibilities include analyzing labor market trends, forecasting staffing needs, and developing forward-looking workforce plans that align with organizational strategy. The Strategic Workforce Planning Partner collaborates with HR Business Partners, Data & Analytics, department leaders, and cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation, improve productivity, and support business growth—while enabling Fairview to remain agile and resilient in a dynamic healthcare market.
Responsibilities
+ Design, launch, and manage a comprehensive workforce planning program aligned to Fairview’s strategic priorities.
+ Establish frameworks, methodologies, and processes that address current and future workforce requirements.
+ Drive adaptive planning processes that respond quickly to changing business needs and market conditions.
+ Integrate technology and analytics tools to enhance forecasting and scenario planning capabilities.
+ Partner with HR, Data & Analytics, and other teams to develop robust data sets, metrics, and predictive models.
+ Identify workforce gaps, assess productivity, and recommend optimization strategies within budget constraints.
+ Develop contingency plans to mitigate workforce risks.
+ Partner with executives, HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Strategies, Transformation, and other leaders to embed workforce planning into operational and clinical excellence initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
Certification
+ Certification in strategic workforce planning required within one year of hire.
Experience
+ 7+ yrs experience in Human Resources to include 3 yrs of applied experience with a sophisticated strategic workforce planning methodology and tools.
+ Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide initiatives that deliver measurable return on investment.
+ Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable plans for both clinical and non-clinical settings.
+ Skilled in consultative relationship building, with a history of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels in an interdisciplinary environment.
+ Influential communicator capable of delivering compelling presentations and driving alignment without formal authority.
+ Project management expertise with strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
+ Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and creative problem-solving.
+ Highly adaptable, thriving in dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments with shifting organizational priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience within a health system
+ Master of Arts HRIR or MBA
+ PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
