ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Manage the day-to-day security operations of the data center, including physical security, access control, video surveillance and alarm monitoring.
+ Responsible for managing a staff of site Supervisors, including support of their downline of Security Officers and Shipping and Receiving associates.
+ Collaborate with Site Supervisors to identify and resolve workforce gaps to ensure adequate coverage at each data center site.
+ Respond to emergency calls on weekends and after regular working hours.
+ Conduct regular performance evaluations of Site Supervisors to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities and are adhering to established policies and procedures.
+ Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential threats to NTT GDC Americas Data Centers.
+ Administer and monitor all onsite security operations to ensure safety standards are met at NTT GDC Americas Data Centers; this includes the safety of personnel, visitors, and customers, as well as protecting company property from unauthorized access, sabotage, vandalism or theft.
+ Perform regular security audits and inspections to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
+ Execute security awareness training to data center personnel; coordinate training logistics and provide feedback to talent development to maintain relevant curriculum of security training programs.
+ Collaborate with the Data Center Operations Team, Facilities, and other departments to ensure the success of critical data center systems.
+ Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent security incidents.
+ Review and approve Incident Reports.
+ Leads internal investigations and prepares written reports on details of investigation, recommended actions, and outcomes.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and customers to promote security and compliance.
+ Manage the budget for the data center security operations.
+ Supports the Senior Security Management with determining headcount allocation and scheduling
+ Ensure that all required security manuals are updated and maintained.
+ Serves as the primary contact for local and federal law enforcement agencies.
+ Collaborate with clients on their security requirements.
+ Works with all departments in the security engineering of all sites for exterior and interior security design.
+ Administers the operation of all security-related systems: access control, CCTV, digital video recording, photo badging, etc., shipping & receiving related items ie, client notifications, etc.
+ Serves as a liaison with all vendors related to security.
+ Oversees research in regards to security products, receiving equipment, and examines price.
+ Responsible for preparation and review of periodic security reports to Clients and NTT GDC Americas employees.
+ Organizes and takes predetermined actions, including rendering first aid in emergencies, such as work-related accidents, fire, and illness.
+ Model NTT GDC Americas Dress Code and Uniform Standards.
+ May perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
+ Knowledgeable with standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used in the security profession.
+ Understanding of physical security technologies such as access control, CCTV, digital video surveillance and recording, intrusion detection, and photo badging.
+ Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, and HIPPA
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage security operations in a high-stress environment.
+ Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Office, database management, and security related software.
+ Knowledge of OSHA and safety rules.
+ Basic knowledge of the Data Center Security Best Practices, preferred.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
+ Ability to work with a flexible schedule.
+ **WORK HOURS/SHIFT:** Mon - Fri, 0800 - 1700 | Day Shift

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as security management, criminal justice, or a related discipline, is preferred.
+ Associate’s degree in a related field plus relevant experience,
+ Minimum seven (7) years of experience related to safety and security as acquired from any combination of law enforcement, military, or security forces (verified by DD-214)
+ Experience must include a minimum of 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
+ Experience should include conducting investigations and report writing.
+ Shipping & Receiving experience is a plus.
+ As a condition of employment, you are required to possess active certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO) as mandated by state regulations, to be obtained within six months of commencing employment and maintained throughout your tenure as a mandatory requirement
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Regularly moves equipment and other hardware up to 50 lbs.
+ Frequently move about inside and outside of data center / facility
+ Remain stationary for long periods of time.
+ Ascend / Descend a ladder and perform duties atop a raised platform.
+ Position self in small spaces.
+ Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
+ Perform work during US business to support a 365/24/7-hour organization across several time zones.
+ Close visual work on a computer terminal.
+ Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
+ Travel between company sites on a regular basis (up to 25% of the time).
+ Exposure to all types of weather conditions.
+ Exposure to unpleasant fumes and odors.
+ Exposure to hazardous work environments.
+ Work onsite at a Data Center environment, with varying temperatures and loud noises.
+ Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
+ Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
+ Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on-call support, as needed to support onsite staff and business requirements.
+ Must participate in some capacity in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program—use smart mobile device with cellular connectivity capable of downloading active applications
+ Must carry cell phone during assigned shift and in emergency situations.
+ A valid driver's license is required for onsite leaders with direct reports to support employee transportation and meet company needs.
+ CPR/First Aid Certification preferred or can be obtained working for NTT.
This position requires work to be done onsite at a data center facility and may require use of a personal mobile device. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $89,600 - $112,000.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
