Position Purpose

At **Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center** , the Nursing Supervisor (House) serves as the on-site leadership presence during nights, weekends, and holidays. This role ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across all units by coordinating nursing operations, supporting staff, and resolving clinical and administrative issues. The supervisor acts as a resource for nursing teams and collaborates with other departments to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

+ Provide on-site nursing leadership during nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Support and guide nursing staff across departments.

+ Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.

+ Resolve clinical and operational issues in real time.

+ Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

+ Current Connecticut RN license.

Preferred:

+ The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient acute care nursing (3+ years) and leadership roles such as Critical Care, Charge Nurse, or Assistant Nurse Manager (2+ years).

+ BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

+ Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).

+ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

+ Support available for certifications post hire.

+ Salary Range: $82,461.60 min - $131,976.00 max.
