Ensure shipping and receiving processes are performed efficiently and accurately
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Enter job number in WW3 and verify part number and footage
+ Prepare hose for shipping by creating boxes, filing with applicable hose and quantity, labeling and arranging conformance certificates
+ Call freight carriers for pickup as needed
+ Prepare all shipping documents for transfer
+ Help with unloading trucks and check for damage before accepting deliveries
+ Receive all raw material, equipment, facility and production supplies into WW3, label accordingly and place in safe area
+ Assist with maintaining accuracy of inventory in warehouse
+ Update shipping and receiving logs
+ Partner with planner, production supervisor and team leads to coordinate communication and efficiency of operation projects
+ Deliver material to production departments as needed
+ Act as a backup for pressure test
+ Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices
+ Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
+ Report production issues to Direct Lead
+ Perform work of an equal or lower classification
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
+ Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
+ Maintain production schedules.
+ Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
+ Other duties may be assigned at a later time.
Education required:
High School diploma or GED; Valid driver’s license required
Experience:
Production work preferred but not required
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
+ Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
+ Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
+ Sound decision making skills
+ Good math, reading, writing skills
+ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
+ Strong trouble shooting skills
+ Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual, and audio attention
+ Ability to work well in a team environment
Skills/Competencies:
1. Basic computer skills
2. Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
3. Vision: Near acuity and accommodation for reading information to perform job tasks.
4. Requires constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detail.
5. Ability to drive a motorized vehicle.

Assessment:
Employee must pass Pre-employment screening
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:
+ Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader
+ Work closely with Maintenance to resolve issues with the equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee may be subject to:
+ High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.
+ Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels.
+ Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection)
+ Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis
+ Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions
+ Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
