As member of the Operations Insights, Planning, Analytics and Technology (IPAT) team, this position will support Loss Pillar Reporting to provide insight to leadership and improve Cost To Serve.
The Senior Financial Analyst will partner with the World Wide Operations teams to deep dive data setup and provide actionable insight. The Finance Manager will need to be capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, and hence needs to demonstrate a high degree of comfort with ambiguity besides holding a high bar on professional integrity.
This candidate will be responsible for retrieving data from fortune and hydra, development of financial models and developing the reporting framework. The role requires partnering with many internal teams to understand their business and drive accurate financial reporting and controls.
Loss pillar reporting is highly visible and requires strong communication skills with leadership.
Key job responsibilities
Establish reporting and planning process for loss pillar reporting.
Conduct analysis to understand the E2E business and report to senior management.
Deliver meaningful insight and practical recommendations through financial simulation and analysis to support decision making of senior management.
Drive continuous innovation and communication to both your operations & other business partners.
Driving process improvement and automation for planning, reporting and review process.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
