Job Title: Machine Operator (1st Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators to join our team, specializing in the fabrication of aerospace and airplane products. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machines to press and form thicker metal components that contribute to the construction of airplane frames.
Responsibilities
+ Operate a variety of machines including band saws, press machines, bump machines, and stretch machines.
+ Measure parts accurately using a tape measure and ensure precision in forming metal components.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in other areas as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
+ Proven experience in the metal manufacturing or forging industry.
+ Proficiency in operating JibCrane or Overhead Cranes.
+ Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
+ Experience as a CNC Machine Operator, stretch operator, forge operator, press machine, and press brake operator.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience as a furnace operator.
+ Extensive measuring experience.
+ Strong mathematical skills.
+ Experience in various machine operations.

Work Environment
The role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment, which can be hot during the summer months. Despite the older exterior, the shop is clean, organized, and well-labeled. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt with appropriate personal protective equipment. The day shift runs from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with extended hours as needed, and Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. Training will initially occur on the day shift for approximately two weeks before transitioning to the respective shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HOUSTON, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
