    Machine Operator Job Description

    **Location** : Monroe, North Carolina

    **Job Type** : Contract to Hire

    **Compensation** : $20 per hour

     

    Overview

     

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will operate manufacturing equipment, conduct quality checks, and maintain accurate production records using Microsoft Excel.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up, operate, and monitor machinery to meet production specifications.

    + Ensure safe and efficient machine operation.

    + Perform routine maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues.

    + Conduct quality inspections during and after production to ensure products meet standards.

    + Document defects and report inconsistencies to supervisors.

    + Use measuring tools and visual inspection techniques to verify product specifications.

    + Accurately record production output, downtime, and quality metrics in Excel.

    + Maintain detailed logs of machine performance and product quality.

    + Generate daily and weekly production reports as required.

    + Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

    + Keep work area clean and organized.

    + Participate in safety training to foster a secure work environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in machine operation

    + Expertise in quality inspection

    + Knowledge of preventive maintenance

    + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

    + Exceptional attention to detail

    + Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation (preferred)

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively

    Our facility is clean and equipped with portable AC units for employee comfort, though it is not climate-controlled.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
