Job Title: Packer

Job Description

Packers will work at the end of the production line, packaging finished materials. They are responsible for loading rolls of finished product into the winder machine. Once the machine creates new rolls, packers must stop the machine at the correct measurements, visually inspect, label, box, and palletize the rolls.

Responsibilities

+ Load rolls of finished product into the winder machine.

+ Stop the machine once it reaches the correct measurements.

+ Visually inspect the finished products for quality.

+ Label and package the rolls into boxes.

+ Palletize the boxed rolls for shipment.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in packaging within a production environment for at least 1 year.

+ Experience in visual inspection for at least 1 year.

+ Ability to consistently lift 30 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as a production operator is beneficial.

The facility is undergoing exciting developments, including a move of California production to this plant. A brand new facility has been built nearby, and plans are underway to upgrade this facility with a new AC system by 2026 and additional production lines. Starting pay at $22.50/hr.

Work Environment

This position involves a 12-hour night shift from 6pm to 6am, following a 3-2-2-3 schedule. The work is conducted in a blown extrusion molding facility, which is hot and dusty. Candidates must be comfortable with the physical demands of walking up multiple flights of stairs throughout the day, as the machines are three stories high.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
