    Description We are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Analyst to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this contract-to-permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in optimizing database operations and supporting both virtualized and on-premises SQL Server environments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to modernization efforts while leveraging your technical expertise in data warehousing.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze and redesign existing SQL Server processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

    • Develop and implement best practices for database administration and performance optimization.

    • Review and improve batch file execution strategies to ensure seamless operations.

    • Collaborate with internal teams to support upgrades and modernization initiatives, including SQL Server 2025.

    • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases across virtual and physical environments.

    • Document workflows and provide training to ensure a smooth transition during system upgrades.

    • Create and manage ETL processes using SSIS to streamline data integration and transformation.

    • Utilize T-SQL for advanced querying and database management tasks.

    • Support virtualized environments, such as VMware or Hyper-V, to facilitate database operations. Requirements • 2–5 years of hands-on experience working with SQL Server in data warehousing environments.

    • Proficiency in SSIS ETL processes and tools for data integration.

    • Expertise in T-SQL for database querying and management.

    • Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture, including performance tuning and backup/recovery.

    • Familiarity with virtualized platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

    • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

    • Experience with modern SQL Server versions, such as SQL Server 2022 or newer, is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
