    Description

    We are seeking a technically curious and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support a cutting-edge project involving the use of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to extract and process data from high-volume paper freight invoices.

     

    This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business analysis and emerging technology, especially in the realm of AI, OCR, and prompt engineering. You’ll work closely with a technical product manager and development teams to define requirements, craft LLM prompts (in pseudo-code), and help guide the buildout of an AI-powered invoice processing system.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Analyze paper freight invoices (up to 100 pages each) and understand key data patterns and structures.

    + Collaborate with the team to refine OCR data extraction logic and LLM prompts that clean and transform data.

    + Write pseudo-code prompts to guide LLM behavior in pulling specific data fields (e.g., Bill of Lading numbers) across various document types.

    + Participate in defining rules and flows for prompt execution within operational pipelines.

    + Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements in Agile environments.

    + Populate and manage stories and requirements in project boards (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

    + Partner with technical leads to translate business needs into structured inputs that LLMs can act upon.

    + Help define roles, rules, and operational logic related to AI and prompt management.

    Requirements

    + Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a technical environment.

    + Exposure to or hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering concepts.

    + Ability to write structured pseudo-code to interact with AI models.

    + Strong documentation and requirement-gathering skills.

    + Experience working with OCR and data extraction processes is highly desirable.

    + Comfortable navigating freight, logistics, or invoice data (preferred but not required).

    + Familiarity with Agile tools and workflow management (e.g., Jira).

    + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
