    Job Title: Survey Party/Crew Chief Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Survey Party/Crew Chief to lead and manage a survey crew in a variety of field conditions and projects. The primary focus will be on FDOT Projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA, Laser Scanning, Geodetic Leveling, Subdivisions, and As-built projects.     Responsibilities

    + Manage and lead a survey crew in various field conditions.

    + Conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA, Laser Scanning, and Geodetic Leveling surveys.

    + Oversee Subdivisions and As-built projects.

    + Ensure the use of total stations, data collection devices, GPS equipment, and digital/automatic levels.

    + Travel for out-of-town projects, typically 2-4 nights per week, once or twice a month.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a Survey Party Chief.

    + Proficiency with FDOT standards and procedures.

    + Strong leadership and management skills.

    + Proficiency in the use of total stations, data collection devices, GPS equipment, and digital/automatic levels.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with FDOT EFB, GPS, and other relevant instruments.

    + Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to collaborate.

    + Willingness to travel for project needs.

    This is a fully on-site position located in Florida, working primarily in an outdoor environment with a crew of 2-3 individuals.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sanford, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
