About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring a **Pediatric ICU Nurse Manager (RN)** to lead our dedicated **PICU team at McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, TX** . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Registered Nurse with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience or PICU background** to step into a leadership role and make a direct impact on patient care, staff development, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

As a **Nurse Manager – PICU** , you will:

+ Lead, mentor, and support a team of registered nurses and clinical staff in a pediatric intensive care setting.

+ Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.

+ Ensure compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and accreditation requirements.

+ Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and patient safety strategies.

+ Support staff education, clinical growth, and professional development.

+ Manage department operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.

+ Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding pediatric care.

Qualifications

+ Current **Registered Nurse (RN) license** .

+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

+ Minimum **3 years of RN experience** ; ICU/PICU RN leadership experience strongly preferred.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

+ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

+ National specialty certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 years).

+ Experience managing staff in an acute care or pediatric critical care environment.

Qualification
