    Job Description

    **AECOM** is actively seeking a highly talented **Structural Engineer** in the Greater Pennsylvania area to join the A/E Department of the **Philadelphia, PA** office. AECOM is searching for candidates that can be creative and impactful on a wide range of projects at a technical level, by working both independently and with other structural staff on aviation facilities, transit stations and facilities, freight rail facilities, ancillary buildings related to roadway projects, and commercial buildings.

    As a **Structural Engineer** , you will work with multi-discipline project teams in developing a range of engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction. This is a diverse role that will involve your contributions and insight to the effective delivery of the department’s current and future portfolio of projects. This is a hybrid role (two days in office, three days from home).

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    + Prepare analytical models and design calculations for various structural elements relating to the design, rehabilitation, and construction of buildings and structures, including structural steel framing, reinforced concrete framing and shear walls, masonry, deep and shallow foundations, and site structures.

    + Lead structural design projects within the discipline and through coordination with architects, engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients, with the goal of producing a comprehensive, coordinated set of project documents.

    + Provide technical leadership and training of junior structural engineering staff.

    + Develop design documentation (3D models, plans, sketches, and details) using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.

    + Prepare project specifications and basis of design reports for all milestone submissions.

    + Perform discipline and interdisciplinary reviews of submission deliverables and supporting materials in accordance with AECOM’s quality protocols.

    + Review construction submittals and RFI’s and develop detailed, timely responses.

    + Conduct field inspections and condition assessments and prepare technical reports.

    + Assist with the development of manhour estimates and project scoping for proposals.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering, or related disciplines plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master of Science in Structural Engineering or related field is a plus.

    + 10+ years of relevant experience is highly desirable.

    + PE License(s).

    + Strong working knowledge and familiarity of relevant building codes and standards including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318, ACI 530, NDS.

    + Experience with various structural analysis software such as RAM, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, Tedds, Enercalc, anchorage design software.

    + Experience with various production software such as Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

    Additional Information

    + This position does not support relocation assistance.

    + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

     

    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $130,000.00.
