Colorado State University is a Carnegie I research institution. The Department of Occupational Therapy’s mission is to optimize human performance and participation in everyday occupations across the lifespan. US News & World Report ranks the entry-level program as the 3rd best in the nation and Colorado State University designates the department as a Program of Research and Scholarly Excellence. We offer an entry-level OTD and a PhD in Occupation and Rehabilitation Science. In addition to the academic unit, the Department includes two research and outreach arms: the Assistive Technology Resources Center ( ATRC ) and the Center for Community Partnerships ( CCP ). Position Summary

This non-tenure track position is teaching intensive (70-80%) including supervision of students in capstone and similar projects. In addition, the faculty member will be responsible for (a) academic advising of graduate students; (b) developing and maintaining collegial relationships in the department, university, and with external professional and scientific communities; © providing service to the department and the university, community or profession; and (d) engaging in scholarly activity.

Required Job Qualifications

+ Doctorate in occupational therapy

+ Substantial experience as an occupational therapy practitioner

+ Teaching experience at the university level

+ Record of collaborations that advanced shared education, research, and/or community outreach goals in occupational therapy.

+ Certification as an occupational therapist and eligibility for licensure in Colorado at the point at which the position begins.

Preferred Job Qualifications

+ Experience teaching qualitative research.

+ Experience teaching content in occupational science.

+ Record of mentoring students in the development of capstone or similar projects

+ Record of teaching innovation at university level

+ Evidence of scholarly activity related to education and/or human performance/ participation in everyday occupations and contexts

+ Record of dissemination of scholarly work
