Job Summary
Responsible for and provide day-to-day supervision of the human resources (HR) enabling technologies team, including Workday, Service Now, and Success Center focusing on areas within application and technology support as designated. Demonstrate expertise in the technology portfolio including functional maintenance of existing applications and new projects. High-level involvement in the implementation of new HR applications and integrations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity, optimizing system performance, and aligning technology solutions with our broader HR and business goals. Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the HRIS, including data integrity and system performance for Workday, Success center, or Service Now. Support HR COEs by understanding systems and interpreting business needs to apply technology solutions that support business needs. Anticipate and identify issues and develop recommendations and courses of action which are consisten with business objectives and functional requirements.
Lead the strategic direction of the HRIS function, aligning technology solutions with business objectives to drive efficiency, scalability, and workforce insights. Driving HR digital transformation, ensuring systems support workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and retention strategies.
Analyze and report metrics on HRIS activities in support of strategic decision-making initiatives, proper resource allocation and for ongoing measurement and continual improvement
Work with leaders to ensure our systems support our efforts to execute a long-term HR roadmap that aligns with organizational goals and growth trajectory. Partner effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders on day-to-day operations and system maintenance activities.
Partner with IT, Finance, Supply chain and Operations to drive seamless system integration and enterprise-wide synergy. Lead change management efforts to drive system adoption and maximize user engagement.
Responsible for coordinating resources, schedules and communications for assigned projects. As well as supporting upgrades, enhancements, and new functionalities to the HRIS and work with business leaders to understand the impacts before they are live.
Develop and maintain HRIS policies and procedures.
Ensure the team is able to anticipate and assess data gathering, documentation, data validation, and testing. Delegate to staff based on specialty and skill set.
Work with appropriate COEs to stay up to date on federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations.
Demonstrate serving as a role model, and encouraging vision and change projects. Understand the critical components associated and required to achieve intended results and ability to assist in hiring, selection, retaining, and leveraging talent across the unit. Supervise day-to-day operations while serving as a resource for escalated and complex issues related to HR systems.
Collaborate and provide feedback in measuring employee performance. Assist in the training of new staff members and the development of existing staff members. Practice positive collaboration and convert difficult interactions into productive ones.
Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. Assist in data monitoring, reports and improvements.
Establish and set a high quality standard to ensure continual process improvement. Consistently provide technical guidance to others in the use of new technologies, theories, concepts, and techniques. Advanced knowledge; consistently serves as technical advisor to management.
Participate in budgetary responsibilities including resource planning, forecasting, and ongoing financial management of approved budget. Works with leadership to support the development of department strategies and operational objectives. Encourage support of staff with department objectives and strategies for specialized and designated technologies.
Assist with other projects or work assignments as needed by organization, department, or leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, education, computer science or related discipline required.
Two years of experience in implementing and supporting technology systems with experience in human resources and learning systems preferred. Experience in the development and implementation of human resources/learning technology.
Two years previous experience in an HRIS department. Demonstrated experience with analyzing business requirements and technical specifications. Actively involved in system integrations and user acceptance testing.
Experience in healthcare and/or insurance industry preferred. Experience in project management helpful. Previous leadership experience also beneficial.
