Major Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all facets of the Men’s Basketball program, including, but not limited to:

+ Recruits student athletes

+ Monitors academic progress of student athletes

+ Game day preparation

+ Plans and conducts pre-season practice and post-season sessions

+ Scouts opponents

+ Attends home and away events

+ Recording and submitting game stats

+ Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

This job requires any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and/or experience as indicated below:

+ Preferred candidate will have a background in basketball as a coach and/or athlete

+ Has an appreciation for Junior College athletics

+ Must demonstrate a sincere commitment to principles of academic and athletic integrity

+ Passion for the game of basketball and Junior College athletics

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

+ Willing to drive 8-12 passenger vehicles to competition

+ Evening and weekend work is required

Educational Requirements

Associates Degree; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
