    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Field Technician to join our team in Northborough, MA. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering $50/hr, along with a company vehicle and gas card. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in at least one trade area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations) and be multi-skilled across other disciplines. You’ll travel between multiple facilities to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure operations run safely and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple building systems

    • Perform maintenance and monitoring on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems

    • Travel between multiple facilities to ensure equipment and systems are functioning properly

    • Handle preventive maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contractor oversight

    • Clean, inspect, calibrate, and replace HVAC components to maintain peak performance

    • Record readings, make adjustments, and log system performance data

    • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies

    • Identify hazards, propose solutions, and maintain clean, safe work environments

    • Monitor quality and costs of contracted maintenance work

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certifications strongly preferred

    • 10+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems

    • EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)

    • EPA 608 Type II Certification (required)

    • Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC (preferred)

    • Strong experience in commercial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems troubleshooting and repair

    • Ability to analyze and correct malfunctions in complex systems

    • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

    • Valid driver’s license required

    **Pay Details:** $50.00 per hour
