Sterile Processing
+ The responsibilities of this position include anticipating the needs of the Radnor Surgery Center and Radnor Clinical Practices. Communicates with OR coordinator, OR leadership, and Sterile Processing leadership to develop operational plans, prioritize turnovers, and reconcile inventory set and instrument issues. Prepares the daily/weekly assignment schedule and will place instrument supplies and equipment purchase orders as needed. The Coordinator Sterile Processing Operations will act as a resource to the team and will demonstrate and reinforce expected behaviors for the department.
Responsibilities:
+ Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, and sterilizes surgical instrumentation and identifies those needing repairs, and initiates replacements.
+ Assists in maintaining accurate databases, trouble shoots error reports, tracks inventory requests, enters inventory issues and facilitates the distribution of supplies.
+ Assists in supporting the PeriOp team when required.
+ Exhibits leadership qualities in problem-solving, setting priorities, and clinical excellence.
+ Demonstrates Teamwork by displaying a cooperative relationship with co-workers by consistently treating others with respect and always using open and honest communication.
+ Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
Credentials:
+ CBSPD or CRCST (Required)
+ Certified Sterile Processing Technician: Certified Registered Sterile Processing Technician or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
+ And 2+ years Two years of sterile processing or operating room experience.•1+ years' Experience with Instrument Tracking systems. (Required)
