About the Role:
EvoLogic is currently seeking a **Controls Engineer** with hands-on experience in designing electrical control panels and developing control systems from concept to completion. This role involves working
closely with customers, engineering teams, and vendors to deliver high-quality automated solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design and develop electrical control systems and panel layouts in accordance with customerrequirements and applicable codes/standards (e.g., UL508A, NEC).
+ Select and specify appropriate control components (PLCs, HMIs, relays, sensors, drives, etc.).
+ Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed electrical schematics using AutoCAD LTsoftware.
+ Collaborate with customers and internal teams from project kickoff through commissioning.
+ Support procurement and manufacturing with technical documentation and guidance.
+ Troubleshoot control systems during panel testing, installation, and startup.
+ Provide occasional on-site support for commissioning and troubleshooting.
+ Maintain up-to-date project documentation and change management throughout the projectlifecycle.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalentexperience).
+ 3+ years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and control panel standards.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
+ Familiarity with PLC programming and HMI development (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Emerson,Schneider, etc.) is a plus.
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred Skills:
+ UL508A panel design experience.
+ Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
+ Experience working with VFDs, motor controls, and safety systems.
+ Comfortable interacting with customers and vendors in both technical and project coordination roles.
