    Job Description:

    The Mindshare Institute Operating Principal will support Intermountain Health’s mission and vision by developing new businesses consistent with the Mindshare Institute’s organizational purpose of solving market failures that are hurting people.

     

    The Mindshare Institute Operating Principal will develop and lead new business opportunities consistent with the organizational purpose and thesis. In addition, the Operating Principal will broadly participate in the sourcing and incubation business opportunities.

     

    + Serve as the business leader of early-stage businesses, growing them to launch

    + Shape and lead new opportunity sourcing, funding, and development processes

    + Lead the development of ecosystems of entrepreneurs, business ideas, and other relationships to support new opportunity development.

     

    This position will report to the Managing Partner and Director of the Mindshare Institute.

    Minimum Requirements

    + Master's degree in business administration or similar (e.g., MHA)

    + 7+ years’ experience successfully founding, funding, and growing new healthcare businesses

    + A track record of successfully working with senior healthcare leaders and other healthcare stakeholders

    + Thorough knowledge of investment banking, venture, management consulting, or private equity is highly desirable

    + Ability to apply knowledge and experience to novel situations

    + Reliability, and the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities

    + Demonstrated ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment

    + Demonstrated decision-making ability and business judgment

    + Demonstrated technical and analytical skills

    + Demonstrated communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    The Mindshare Institute prefers candidates with experience across various healthcare sectors. Experience with corporate development is a plus. Experience in mergers, acquisitions or divestitures, financial services, venture capital and/or management consulting is desirable.

    Additional Information

    + This position can be performed remotely with business travel as-needed. Intermountain Health maintains employment registration in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. Candidates in other locations may be considered. Currently, we are not hiring remote workers in the following states: CA, CT, HI, IL, NY, RI, VT, and WA.

    + This is an exempt, full-time position with a base pay range of $168,125-238,000. Pay offers are determined by prior years of relevant experience. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals. In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

     

    $7.25 - $999.99
