Summary You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Mission Support Division, Code 123100 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. Responsibilities You will perform a variety of security duties dealing with industrial, personnel, and information security. You will perform industrial security duties to include clearance actions, contractor liaison, and classified contract review, preparation, and coordination. You will perform personnel security duties to include verification of security clearances for contractor personnel and the certification of need to know for access to classified information. You will perform information security duties to include assisting the head of classification management with the control and maintenance of classified material records as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/10) or pay band (NO-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Managing a comprehensive security program utilizing knowledge of Information, Physical, Personnel, and Industrial security programs; 2) Analyzing and applying processes and methods relating to designated security requirements to assist with the control and maintenance of classified material records; 3) Ensuring Information Security compliance utilizing demonstrated knowledge of proper storage, marking, accountability and safeguard of Controlled Unclassified Information and National Security Information; and 4) Researching and providing guidance to inquiries relating to Information Security.
