Entry-Level Civil Engineer – Drainage, Grading, and Infrastructure Design

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Entry-Level Civil Engineer** to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of drainage, grading, and infrastructure projects using **Civil 3D** . This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with experienced professionals, and grow your career in civil engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist in the design and analysis of **drainage systems** , including stormwater management, culverts, and detention/retention basins.
+ Develop **grading plans** for land development, transportation, and infrastructure projects.
+ Support the design of **infrastructure systems** , such as roadways, utilities, and site layouts.
+ Utilize **Civil 3D** to create detailed engineering drawings, models, and plans.
+ Perform calculations and analyses to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, senior engineers, and other technical staff.
+ Conduct field visits to gather data, assess site conditions, and support construction activities as needed.
+ Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and project deliverables.
+ Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
+ 0-2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering (internship or co-op experience is a plus).
+ Proficiency in **Civil 3D** for design and drafting.
+ Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly in drainage, grading, and infrastructure design.
+ Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulics concepts is a plus.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with other design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or GIS tools.
+ Knowledge of local design standards and regulations.
+ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or intent to pursue licensure.

Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $109,000.00
