    About the Role:

    As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting a major telecommunications client by maintaining and ensuring the optimal performance of their Cloud sites in the Norfolk area. This position focuses on preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. As a mobile engineer, you'll be provided with a company van, all necessary tools, a uniform, a gas card, and both an iPhone and an iPad to support your daily tasks.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Cloud Site Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems specifically within the designated Cloud sites in the Norfolk area, ensuring they meet or exceed client and industry standards.

    + Work Order Management: Review assigned work orders, accurately estimate the time and materials needed for completion, and maintain an organized inventory of necessary supplies and tools.

    + Preventive Maintenance Implementation: Proactively implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems operate at their peak performance and longevity. Oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as required.

    + System Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of building and industrial systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to verify equipment functionality within design parameters and maintain the environmental conditions prescribed by the client.

    + Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

    + Mobile Operations: Operate the company-issued vehicle (van) in a safe and responsible manner while executing daily work responsibilities within the Norfolk area.

    + Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and develop innovative solutions to challenges.

    + Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach and mentor colleagues, sharing in-depth knowledge of your job discipline and a broad understanding of other related disciplines within the Engineering and Technical Services function.

    + Leadership and Collaboration: Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work collaboratively to build consensus and effectively communicate to achieve common goals.

    + Impact & Influence: Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams, contributing to the overall success of the telecommunications client's operations.

    + Autonomy & Guidance: Work within established guidelines and policies, exercising sound judgment and making informed decisions.

    + Communication: Effectively explain complex or sensitive information to stakeholders as needed.

    What You’ll Need:

    + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant job experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a formal diploma.

    + Required Certifications: Universal CFC certification and a valid Driver's License.

    + Preferred Experience: Prior shift manager or supervisory experience is highly desirable.

    + Physical Requirements: Must meet the physical requirements of the role, including but not limited to stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

    + Analytical Skills: Ability to exercise sound judgment based on the analysis of information from multiple sources.

    + Adaptability: Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions and adapt to changing circumstances.

    + Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge and proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).

    + Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills coupled with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
