    Position Purpose:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SOC and IR Analyst Development Specialist to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be on developing, building, and delivering hands on training and career development training. This position is crucial for enhancing the skills and capabilities of our Security Operations Center (SOC) and Digital Forensic and Incident Response (DFIR) teams.

     

    + Design, develop, and implement tabletop exercises to simulate real-world security incidents.

    + Create and manage capture the flag (CTF) events to challenge and improve the skills of SOC and IR analysts.

    + Development and implementation of Job Qualification Requirements for all levels of analyst.

    + Collaborate with team members to identify training needs and develop customized training programs.

    + Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

    + Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to ensure training content is relevant and current.

    + Provide mentorship and guidance to SOC and IR analysts to support their professional development.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    + Comply with all policies and standards.

    Education/Experience:

    A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and Requires 4 – 6 years of related experience.

     

    Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

    Technical Skills:

    One or more of the following skills are desired:

    + TTX Development:

    + Develop realistic and complex scenarios that cover a wide range of cybersecurity incidents, including data breaches, ransomware attacks, insider threats, and advanced persistent threats (APTs).

    + Create detailed documentation and guidelines for participants to understand the rules, objectives, and scenarios of the tabletop exercises.

    + Continuously update and enhance tabletop exercise scenarios to reflect the latest cybersecurity threats and techniques.

    + Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the scenarios.

    + CTF Development:

    + Create realistic and challenging scenarios that cover a wide range of cybersecurity topics, including network security, web application security, cryptography, reverse engineering, and forensics.

    + Implement automated scoring systems to track participants' progress and performance.

    + Develop detailed documentation and guidelines for participants to understand the rules and objectives of the CTF events.

    + Continuously update and enhance CTF challenges to reflect the latest cybersecurity threats and techniques.

    Soft Skills:

    + Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty

    + Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

    + Intermediate - Ability to work independently

    + Intermediate - Demonstrated analytical skills

    + Intermediate - Demonstrated project management skills

    + Intermediate - Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure

    + Intermediate - Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills

    License/Certification:

    + CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), CompTIA Advanced Security practitioner (CASP+), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or equivalent recommended

     

    Pay Range: $85,300.00 - $158,100.00 per year

     

    Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
