Stockroom Coordinator - Defense System Division Position Summary/Essential Functions:
Following well-defined procedures and with minimal supervision: check incoming material against accompanying documents to determine completeness and accuracy; enter transactions into computer system; kit and issue materials for Assembly; fill backorders; use digital weigh-count scale; perform cycle counts and physical inventories as assigned and keep stock and stockrooms neat and orderly. May be required to make pick-ups and deliveries using company vehicles. Requires working knowledge of stockroom procedure (MP-1000-021) and competency in performing Costpoint transactions related to stockroom functions.
In addition, will assist DSD Property Management focal with maintaining the Sensor Property Management System to ensure continual accountability of Government and Customer property in accordance with applicable government regulations, contractual requirements and company policies. Requires working knowledge of the functional elements of property control, FAR, DFAR and best practices for control of property. Will assist DSD Property Management Focal when interfacing with government agencies, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, remote MDSI sites and MDSI personnel.
Responsibilities:
+ Maintains inventory accuracy through careful counting and transaction processing.
+ Counts and verifies incoming materials and assemblies.
+ Issues materials and assembly kits as requested by Planning and Assembly.
+ Researches and resolves inventory record discrepancies.
+ Performs cycle counts and physical inventories and completes cycle count functions in Costpoint.
+ Follows company requirements for safety and PPE. Maintain a clean and organized area.
+ Will support the Maintenance of the approved Property Control System.
+ Performs property life cycle activities from the acquisition of assets to final disposition, including all functional elements. Identifies and troubleshoots problems and initiates necessary corrective actions.
+ Coordinates and records property movement.
+ Maintains well-organized property storage area.
+ Licensed as a Meggitt forklift operator.
+ Uses company van for pick-ups and deliveries.
+ Performs other tasks as assigned.
+ Assists other departments when assigned.
+ Completes facility clean-up projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 -4 years related experience and/or training.
+ One year of experience in a computerized inventory environment, with hands-on computer experience.
+ Proof of forklift driver training and/or experience required.
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
+ Job mostly requires basic math skills. Occasional need to calculate percentages.
+ Position requires strong teamwork/cooperative abilities, as well as the ability to work independently.
+ Computer terminal, calculator, telephone, copier, digital counting scale, counterbalance scale, forklift, company van, pallet jack, ladders, banding and wrapping equipment and some hand and power tools.
+ Position involves ability to frequently or constantly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to move objects.
+ The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
+ The stockroom areas are not air conditioned.

+ Pay Range: $16.9/hr to $28.15/hr

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, New York, Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $16.9/hr to $28.15/hr.
