    Our client, a leading innovator in connected hardware solutions, is seeking a Quality Assurance Tech II/ Lab Technician to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Tech II / Lab Technician, you will be part of the Failure Analysis Department supporting the Engineering and Product Development teams. The ideal candidate will have analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Quality Assurance Tech II / Lab Technician

    **Location:** Hawthorne, CA

    **Pay Range:** $45.00 per hour

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Perform root cause failure analysis of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical components and assemblies.

    + Operate and maintain lab equipment such as optical microscopes, X-ray/CT scanners, SEM/EDS, and chemical analysis tools.

    + Prepare samples and conduct detailed chemical, physical, or electromechanical failure investigations.

    + Debug PCBA issues on RMA returns, identify failure causes, and recommend corrective actions.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand device issues and communicate findings effectively.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + At least 2 years of relevant experience with connected, electromechanical devices and debugging in production or manufacturing environments.

    + Minimum of 1 year experience with embedded, database, or Python programming.

    + Proficiency in using failure analysis laboratory equipment including sample preparation tools, X-ray/CT, SEM/EDS, and microscopes.

    + Micro-soldering experience of at least 1 year.

    + Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
