    One of our retail clients is looking for an analyst to join their team. This person will work hands on with Excel, Power Query and PowerBI.

    Job Title: Analyst (Transportation Operations Support)

    **Contract Duration:** 3 months (with potential for extension or full-time conversion)

    **Start Date:** Immediate

    **Location:** Fort Mill, SC – Hybrid (2 days onsite: either Mon & Tues or Wed & Thurs)

    **Time Zone Preference:** EST

     

    Position 1: Technical Analyst – Transportation Reporting Support

    Responsibilities:

    + Develop and optimize executive-level transportation reports using Power Query, Excel, and Power BI

    + Create reporting templates and documentation (e.g., answer keys for report structures)

    + Analyze carrier data including rates and transit times

    + Support Transportation executive team using Manhattan systems

    + Collaborate across departments within Ross Transportation

    Requirements:

    + Advanced Excel skills (beyond VLOOKUPs; daily use expected)

    + 5-7 years of experience that includes analyzing large data reports, creating reports and executive presentations.

    + Strong Power Query and Power BI experience

    + Transportation industry knowledge preferred

    + Experience synthesizing complex data into actionable insights

    + Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

    Nice to Have:

    + Experience with import logistics and general truck types

     

    Position 2: Strategic Analyst – Transportation Procurement & Project Support

    Responsibilities:

    + Support transportation procurement initiatives using platforms like Coupa and Jagger

    + Lead project management efforts to meet timelines and strategic goals

    + Analyze logistics contracts, brokerage data, and transportation analytics

    + Develop cost-saving strategies and carrier bid requirements

    + Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and drive strategic outcomes

    + Translate complex data into clear, actionable reports

    Requirements:

    + Experience with transportation procurement platforms (Coupa, Jagger)

    + Strong project management and strategic thinking skills

    + Proven ability to work backwards from goals to execution plans

    + Logistics and brokerage analytics expertise
