    Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

    Job Description

    Join a full-service truck leasing company based in Iowa, specializing in truck and trailer rental and leasing, contract maintenance, and logistics services. We are seeking two skilled diesel/service technicians to become part of our 1st shift team at our Davenport, Iowa location.

    Responsibilities

    + Run diagnostic tests on vehicles and analyze results to determine necessary repairs.

    + Test drive vehicles to assess performance.

    + Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle.

    + Perform repairs on various vehicles including trucks, trailers, and vans.

    + Fix gaskets and replace or repair engine, steering, transmission, braking, or lighting system components.

    + Maintain a parts inventory and ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a Diesel Mechanic with at least 1 year of manufacturing or mechanical experience.

    + Ability to diagnose and make repairs on a range of vehicles.

    + Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.

    + Comfortable working in a dirty environment and getting hands-on.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must have personal tools for the job.

    + Willingness to engage in an apprenticeship program.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grimes, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
