    HIRING A SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST AT A TOP PLASTIC SURGEON'S OFFICE IN MANHATTAN!

    Job Description

    We are seeking a professional, friendly, and highly-motivated individual to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service and organizational skills, with the ability to anticipate surgical needs and assist in preparing the operating room for daily procedures. This role demands a mindset that no task is too big or too small, with a strong emphasis on patient safety. The position offers an opportunity for ambitious individuals eager to grow within a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in the daily operations of the surgical suite under the supervision of an RN.

    + Verify with a nurse that the pre-operative checklist is complete.

    + Conduct preparation, sterilization, maintenance, and stocking of operating room supplies.

    + Assist RN in preparing instruments, supplies, and other necessary tasks for the operating room.

    + Ensure the proper cleaning of the operating room.

    + Manage the day-to-day assurance of sterile and non-sterile instruments and equipment.

    + Ensure proper storage and handling of instruments and equipment.

    + Operate and maintain on-site sterilization of instruments and equipment.

    + Participate in the orientation of new operating room employees.

    + Ensure operating rooms are fully stocked and expiration dates of supplies are checked.

    + Participate in the surveillance of quality control measures.

    + Engage in team meetings and continuing education.

    + Be willing to learn and teach others.

    + Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting and logistical needs.

    + Proactively identify maintenance issues and address them through appropriate channels.

    + Maintain cleanliness and ambiance of the work environment.

    + Maintain clear communication with management about operations.

    + Collaborate with owners, advisors, injectors, and team to build an exceptional client experience.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

    + Certified Surgical Technician.

    + BLS certification.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Ability to adhere to protocols and policies.

    + Teamwork-oriented mindset with a 'can do' attitude.

    + Flexibility, dependability, and punctuality.

    + Empathy in patient care.

    + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    + Ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + A 'no job too small' entrepreneurial attitude.

    + Willingness to participate in continuing education.

    Work Environment

    This is an on-site position requiring full-time commitment, Monday through Friday. The compensation package is competitive and includes perks that make this a unique opportunity for the right person. There is a 90-day probationary period for performance evaluation. Our work environment values a healthy balance of life and offers incentives for team achievements.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.27/hr.
