    Job Title: Orbital Welder

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Orbital Welder to join our mechanical team, specializing in high-purity piping systems for commercial and industrial HVAC and process applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with orbital welding equipment and techniques, particularly in stainless steel tubing and piping systems used in cleanroom environments, laboratories, and data centers.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform orbital welding on stainless steel and other high-purity piping systems.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding specifications.

    + Set up and operate orbital welding machines such as AMI and Swagelok.

    + Inspect welds for quality and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

    + Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.

    + Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.

    + Document weld logs and maintain traceability records as required.

    + Assist in pipe fitting and layout when necessary.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with orbital welding equipment and techniques.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.

    + Competence in setting up and operating orbital welding machines.

    + Capability to inspect and ensure weld quality and compliance.

    + Proficiency in maintaining organized and clean work areas.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 10+ years of experience in pipefitting, with openness to learning orbital welding.

    + Experience in fabrication and mechanical systems.

    + Pipefitting skills.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a day shift position from Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. The role involves servicing both industrial and commercial facilities, requiring comfort in various environments such as office buildings and industrial sites.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, South Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
