Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for addressing maintenance issues and projects within our facilities. This role includes a variety of tasks ranging from simple handyman duties to more complex facility improvement projects.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct daily walkthroughs of buildings to identify and address maintenance issues, ensuring everything is in good working order.

+ Prioritize facility needs for projects and repairs.

+ Complete small electrical projects as needed.

+ Utilize knowledge and skills for general facility upkeep.

+ Collaborate closely with the maintenance team and department manager to report progress and success of facility needs.

+ Operate computers and complete necessary paperwork.

+ Effectively use all tools required to complete projects.

+ Troubleshoot daily issues as they arise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1+ years of experience in building maintenance (commercial or residential) or substantial experience in skillsets including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, wiring, low voltage, framing, mudding, painting, and groundskeeping.

+ Familiarity with facilities maintenance, building maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, painting, drywall, carpentry, and groundskeeping.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing environment across multiple facilities. Expect exposure to dirt, dust, noise, and various temperature extremes. The role involves constant standing, frequent walking, and occasional bending, lifting, and use of office equipment. Mandatory overtime may be required. Work appropriate attire includes shirt, jeans, shorts, and steel-toe shoes. Training involves hands-on learning with different team members, focusing on safety protocols.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
