Shop Laborer/Fabricator

Currently hiring a 1st shift Shop Laborer in the Frankfort, IL area. Hiring immediately.

**Shift:** 1st shift 7AM-3:30pm

+ OT can be until 5:30pm.

+ Occasional mandatory OT on Saturdays which would be a 7:00am-12:00pm shift.

+ Needs to be open to working 55/hrs a week during busy season.

Pay: $25-$26/hr.

Description

+ Clean welds using a mild acid and neutralizing solution.

+ Performing TIG welding on stainless steel.

+ Fabrication.

+ Machine Building/Panel Building.

+ Assist in handling parts from machines.

+ Wash and stack parts on carts and pallets.

+ Sort items into inventory using a cart.

+ Utilize handheld and pencil grinders for finishing.

+ Perform repetitive tasks with up to 100 parts at a time.

+ Take care of general shop duties as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Welding/Fabrication experience.

+ Reliability and attention to detail.

+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.

+ Basic math skills including counting.

+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Automotive experience is a plus.

+ Initiative to grow with the company.

+ Open to individuals with minimal experience willing to learn.

Work Environment

The facility is very clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit, providing a comfortable working environment. You will work on the machine shop floor alongside approximately 15 other employees, although you will be the only person in your specific department, maintaining proximity to nearby colleagues.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
