Job Description
Join our team as an Assembly Technician where you will work meticulously to assemble, inspect, and trim small silicon parts for the medical industry. This role requires precision as you will handle delicate micro parts using specialized tools in a clean room environment.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble, inspect, and trim small silicone parts for the medical industry.
+ Work under a microscope in a very clean environment to remove excess silicone from tiny parts.
+ Remove excess silicone (flash) using brushes, tweezers, or a scraping tool.
+ Utilize a clicker press to trim flash from parts.
+ Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Collaborate with the team to set up the workstation.
+ Complete job sheets with part numbers, lot numbers, and quantities, requiring basic arithmetic skills.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to inspect and ensure quality of small parts.
+ Proficiency in using a microscope for detailed work.
+ Experience with final assembly and quality inspection.
+ 1-3 years of experience in inspection with a keen eye for detail.
+ Steady hands to handle tiny, delicate pieces.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to perform repetitive detailed work for extended periods.
+ Skill in part trimming and inspection.
+ Basic arithmetic skills for adding and subtracting.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a clean room environment, adhering to medical regulations. You will sit at a desk using tweezers and microscopes. Initial training occurs on the first shift, Monday to Friday from 5 am to 3:15 pm, before transitioning to the second shift, Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 1:15 am. The company, located in Saginaw, Michigan, is a small-scale family-owned manufacturer with low employee turnover due to competitive compensation and stability.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saginaw, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
