Description We are looking for a diligent and organized accounting specialist to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with sales and use tax regulations while collaborating closely with the accounting department. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who excel in managing detailed documentation and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage exemption certificates and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.

• Research and validate customer documents across multiple states to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Collaborate with clients to gather and verify necessary information while providing excellent customer service.

• Support the accounting team in maintaining accurate records related to sales and use taxes.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze tax-related data effectively.

• Assist in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes as needed.

• Monitor and address discrepancies in tax documentation and compliance.

• Ensure adherence to tax compliance processes and provide recommendations for improvements.

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of tax compliance procedures.

• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department through multitasking and problem-solving. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.

• Familiarity with sales and use tax compliance processes across multiple states.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.

• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is highly preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions.

• Ability to work on-site with potential for remote work one day per week.
