Overview

Children’s Mercy orthopedic specialists provide a broad range of trauma, hand, musculoskeletal, sports medicine and general orthopedic services for children of all ages. Together with physical and occupational therapists, advanced practice providers, and other experienced staff members, our pediatric orthopedic surgeons care for children with all types of bone, joint, spine and other conditions. Participates in department and hospital performance improvement activities. Provides family centered patient care that is based in scientific theory and is outcome focused.

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

+ Personnel management.

+ Comprehensive unit management and development of programs and services.

+ Participates in department and organization performance improvement activities.

+ Fiscal management and accountability.

+ Actively participates and provides leadership for education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees.

+ Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree required and

+ 1-2 years experience

+ At least 12 months of experience in clinical nursing. or

+ Master's Degree preferred and

+ 1-2 years experience

+ One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire

+ One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire

+ RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO

+ Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire

+ Specialty Certification relevant to unit's patient population (determined by Nurse Director) Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $46.13/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
